How long have you flown with CLA?

I started flying with CLA in 2007 pursuing my PPL. I had left in 2009 only to return in 2014 and complete my instructor rating.

What is your occupation goal?

My occupational goal is to become an Airline Pilot

Where were you born and raised?

I grew up in Kigali Rwanda

What is your educational background?

My educational background is that I have achieved diploma in Aviation Management from MacEwan University in 2012.

Do you have a pre-flight ritual?

My pre flight ritual isn’t much of a ritual but I like to go through the plan for flights of the day and enjoy a cup of coffee as I check the weather for the day.

What is your favourite plane to fly and why?

My favourite plane to fly is Piper Seminole because it is the fastest that I have flown as of yet.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include: music, basketball, movies and football.

If you could travel anywhere and fly, where would it be?

If I could travel anywhere and fly, it would be awesome to fly in Rwanda because I would love to fly some of my family members since I haven’t done so yet.

What inspired you to start flying?

What inspired me to start flying was probably the stories i had heard from my relatives about how my dad was in flying school before he started his family, I think the stories planted the seed and since then, as a kid I always said that i would become a pilot.

What does being a pilot mean to you?

Becoming a pilot to me means living out my childhood dreams.

What is the flight moment you will never forget?

A flight moment I will never forget is my first solo cross country, it made me feel like this was the coolest thing ever.

Is there a unique plane you have had the opportunity to fly?

The most exciting opportunity that has arisen through flying for me is that CLA gave me an opportunity to further my aviation career by becoming an instructor, and I am forever grateful.

When did you obtain your pilot’s license?

I received my first pilot licence in 2008

What is your favorite lesson to teach as an instructor?

My favourite lesson to teach as an instructor is Pilot Navigation.

What do you enjoy in addition to Flying?

In addition to flying, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going on trips and NFL football.

What is a fact most people wouldn’t know about you?

Favorite drink is a cafe latte from Starbucks.

Something about me that most people might not know is that I am big movie buff.

Types of aircraft I have time in are C172, Piper PA 28, PA34 , PA 44 & Cirrus SR22.
